Children's Church
St Margaret's has an active Children's Church, which is divided into three groups: Sparklers for babies, toddlers and pre-school children; All Stars for Key Stage 1 children; and Trail Blazers for Key Stage 2 children.
Children leave Parish Communion after the Gloria and move to the Church Rooms to take part in songs, prayers and structured activities drawn from the 'Living Stones' teaching aids. The children are brought back into church for Communion.
In addition, the Seekers - a group for young people aged 11 years and above - meet during term-time at the Malthouse at the same time as the main Parish Communion service (see the Seekers page).
On the first Sunday of each month, a Family Service with Communion is held. The first part of this service is designed to engage with and include younger people, replacing Children's Church.
Child Protection (Safeguarding)
Everyone involved in working with children in any capacity is required to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check. The designated Safeguarding Representative for St Margaret's is Josie Walledge (see Contact details) but all adult members are encouraged to share responsibility for the safety, well-being and Christian growth of our children.
